Josephine Dress
They both say they just can’t get enough of sewing outfits for little girls - darling outfits like the Josephine Dress and the Molly Jacket.
The ladies began their business because they felt that sophisticated, well-written patterns were lacking in the market.
Ericka said, “Let’s do it. Let’s start our own pattern line!” Within a couple of hours the two had ideas and a game plan for implementation.
“We were so nervously excited because we really felt like we were on to something!” said Ericka.

Lucy Pants
Speaking of beautiful photography, Jessica does about 75 percent of the photos featuring her daughter Scarlett and Ericka’s daughter Cairo. Violette Field Threads also borrows nieces and friends to mix up the looks. Sometimes, the company sends their clothing to other photographers to use on their models/locations just to keep things interesting and fresh.
Two of Ericka and Jessica's favorite designs include Chloe and Whitney. Here's why:

Chloe Dress
The Chloe is the perfect party dress! It was so much fun to create because we drew inspiration from 1950s formal dresses. The photo shoots were some of our favorite to-date because the dress allows for over-the-top syling!

Whitney Pants
The Whitney pants started out as an idea to classic, tailored women's trousers and make them appropriate for children. The pants we ended up with are our favorite - they are so stylish and sophisticated! Our girls are lavished with compliments whenever they wear them, but (believe it or not) they only take about an hour to create!
We are so happy to have had Ericka and Jessica join us here on The Shabby! Thank you, ladies!
